Orolia Group to exhibit at Defence & Security Equipment International

Sarbe ProductsShowcasing products from its three leading brands of emergency location beacons and synchronization products and systems
Orolia group is exhibiting at the Defence & Security Equipment International (DSEi) show starting today at London’s Excel centre.

For the first time its three leading emergency location beacon brands will be on display along with its range of synchronization products and systems dedicated for government and military markets.

Orolia : a dynamic global business for mission-critical applications
DSEi is the world’s largest fully integrated defence and security exhibition, with over 25,000 visitors from the international military and governmental defence and security sectors expected to attend this year’s event. “After the acquisition of Sarbe Assets in last June, Orolia Group will offer an even broader market leading range of emergency location beacons (air, sea, land and military) to Defence and Security business buyers of this show. In addition, as part of the core business position of the group in Government and Military markets, Timing & Measurement Division will exhibit its portfolio of synchronisation products and systems. Precision time and frequency technology is particularly crucial for military networks, so that field operations are truly synchronised” explains Jean-Yves Courtois, CEO of Orolia group.

SARBE range products    The three emergency location beacon brands – SARBE, Kannad Aviation and McMurdo – together represent one aspect of the Orolia group’s technologically advanced Positioning Division. It includes a comprehensive range of emergency location technology for land, sea and air further to the acquisition of the SARBE brand in June, which has since been incorporated alongside the Kannad Aviation range as part of the group’s ongoing growth strategy.

The SARBE range of military personal distress beacons includes Personal Locator Beacons, Emergency Location Transmitters, and Submarine Locator Beacons, which are used extensively by the UK Ministry of Defence, as well as front line forces on all continents across the globe.
For non-combat aircraft, Kannad Aviation offers a full range of Emergency Location Transmitters suitable for all sizes of aircraft. Kannad Aviation leads the market in technological developments, and has recently introduced the world’s first ELT with internal GPS and a 406MHz integrated antenna called Integra. Kannad Aviation products are chosen for their quality and dependability by defence forces worldwide, as well as by a number of commercial organisations, including Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier, BAE, Sukhoi, Embraer, Pilatus, Eurocopter and Robinson.
For marine emergency location beacons utilising the latest technology, McMurdo has been synonymous with superior technology since it was established in the 1940s, and is why the Royal Navy, US Coastguard, Royal Australian Navy and many other defence and security organisations around the world choose McMurdo products for their vessels and crew.
Through its Timing & Measurement Division, the group will exhibit its portfolio of synchronisation products and systems under Spectracom brand. The product portfolio includes master clocks, bus-level timing boards, secure network time servers, stratum-1 frequency references, GPS simulators and signal generators and frequency calibration and analysis products. These platforms are combined to provide flexible and cost-effective synchronisation systems in test ranges, air bases and launch sites, electronic warfare, naval systems, and radio and satellite communications. Spectracom’s time and frequency products meet the diverse needs of today’s defence industry and customers include national and international forces and the contractors who support their missions.
McMurdo, Kannad Aviation and SARBE emergency beacons will be exhibit in stand N4-195
and Spectracom timing systems in stand N3-465.
