A Kannad Aviation ELT has helped save the life of a seaplane pilot after he crashed into an Alaskan lake.
In September, Chris Phillips made a trip in his seaplane - fitted with a Kannad Aviation ELT - to his log cabin on a lake 8nm NW of Anchorage, Alaska. He had previously been to the cabin to close and secure it ready for the forthcoming winter but had left his mobile phone there so made the decision to return to collect it.
